To be eligible for insurance under this policy, you must be a resident of Canada and covered under a government health insurance plan.
Applicants age 55 or over need to complete the Medical Questionnaire to determine their eligibility and rate category. However, where the applicant is between 55-74 years of age, travelling for 17 days or less and purchasing the Quick Trip Plan, in which case there is no need to complete the Medical Questionnaire.

Eligibility And Rate Category
At the time of application you must be:
Under Age 55. You automatically qualify for Rate Category A and do not need to complete the medical questionnaire.
Age 55 to 74, travelling 17 days or less and purchasing a Quick Trip Plan. You do not need to answer any medical questions. Under the Quick Trip Plan, you qualify for Rate Category D.

Age 55 and over - If you do not care to purchase the Quick Trip Plan and are age 55 and over, you must compete the Medical Questionnaire to determine your eligibility (Step 1) and rate category (Steps 2 and 3).
If you are not eligible to purchase this insurance
If you are 55 or over and are not eligible to purchase this insurance, you can apply for emergency medical coverage under Manulife Financial's Individual Medical Underwriting Plan, by calling 1-877-884-8283 or 519-251-7417. You will need to be able to answer questions related to your health status and will need to know your travel dates in order to receive a quote. This quote will match your specific health needs and circumstances. When you pay the quoted premium, your pre-existing conditions will be covered during your trip under the Individual Medical Underwriting Plan.

Refunds And Extensions
Refunds and Cancellations are not permitted on the BounceBack Benefit, Trip Cancellation/Interruption, All-Inclusive and Multi-Trip All-Inclusive plans.
Extensions:
Extensions are available if, at the time you apply for an extension, you have not had an event that resulted in or may result in a claim and if your trip, including the extension, does not exceed 183 days (212 days for residents of Ontario or Newfoundland). Minimum premium of $25 will apply.
